The anatase (TiO^2) mineral is typically found in
hydrothermal veins and sediments and is mined for industrial use as a
strong, lightweight metal, i.e. titanium.

Anatase is usually found in one of the following forms:

Plain plate-like, bipyramidal, and modified plate-like anatase crystals.
However some specimens are very different:

Very distorted, elongated anatase crystal.
